The platform people love

Today I finally had time to visit High Park, which I hadn’t been to in over a year. I wondered how much it had changed. Entering from the east gate, a sign clearly stated that vehicles were not allowed on weekends. I walked slowly to the central parking lot, went into the restaurant for a meal, got back in my car, and turned out of the parking lot. Several no-entry signs were at the intersection, so I could only turn left to head north. The original two lanes had been separated by the center line and guardrails erected, leaving only one lane for vehicles; the other side had been converted into a bike lane. Several parking lots along the way had been abandoned, either marked with no-parking lines or simply barricaded, making parking impossible. It’s such a waste of the park’s limited space. I wondered: what kind of transportation did the people using the park’s indoor and outdoor playgrounds use to get here?
This situation tells us that High Park is rapidly becoming someone’s private playground, in accordance with its established policy.
